WHAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO? Ten years ago.... wow that's going back isn't it? lol Umm...... We had just moved to Oregon from Texas and Sean was a baby. I was not working at all and we were living with Jimmy's parents. My craft of passion was plastic canvas back then :)WHAT WERE YOU DOING 1 YEAR AGO? Okay one year ago..... I'm not really sure (isn't that horrible?) Well I'd been scrapping for over 2 years. I had just gotten my new Nikon D70 (can't believe it's been over a year and still don't *know* my camera!). Ummm... can't remember what else.5 FAVORITE SNACKS:beef jerky, asian salad's (yummmmy!), veggies and dip, guacamole & sushi :)

Check this out!? I'm so stoked about how this came out... the two top photo's were all that I had (one of the reason's I overshoot). I thought I would try my hand at combining them to get one good picture and I can't believe how easy this was!!! I just took Jimmys face from the upper right photo and placed it on the left one to get the perfect photo!! SO COOL!! I just hope that JImmy doesn't think I can do this with everything lol!

I did my first "paid" photoshoot for a co-worker. This was a gift for his wife for her birthday (although the copy uploaded is a copy made for grandparents) I took about 300 pictures and this little guy endured 2 hours of me taking his pictures and the only time he fussed even a little bit was during clothing changes! I had so much fun doing this and hope to do more in the future. Follow the link and put in 911Mom in the member name under the "browse member collection" then it's the first slide show. Be patient, it's a big file but I think it's worth the wait :) Enjoy!

Okay so really... what has been up with me? Just went back to work after 11 days off of work to find out that we have fired (okay so maybe it was a resignation) and hired a patrol officer today! Sheesh! Talk about BAM! We had a pretty good "vacation". About the only thing we did was hang out, did lots of shopping, and went to see the new Star Wars movie. I got a new TV, DVD/VCR combo, cable hook up and a piece of new furniture for the office so now I will NEVER LEAVE the computer :) I bought a new telephoto lens for my camera and I think I'm gonna love it for the ballet recitals, and parade type stuff to take pictures of but I found out today that for everyday use it's prolly best to just use the lens that came with my camera. Learning every day.... took some pictures outside while we roasted marshmallows over our new fire pit. Had to use that dreaded flash to get anything decent. Wish I could figure out how to take a decent picture using just the glow from the fire... oh well.... someday maybe. Okay now that I've babbled.....back to scrappin'!

Training drains me. I'm thankful that I no longer have to do it regularly. Just the stress of letting others handle things at a slower pace and resisting the urge to push them out of the way and take over is exhausting. She is doing well though. We have just found out that we are not going to get our planned added full time position in dispatch as we thought, in fact, to make things worse, we may loose our part time position which means I'd better get comfortable working the desk because there will be no relief in sight for me to do administrative duties. Oh well, at least I like to dispatch (on most days LOL). Counting down the days till a vacation, 3 to be exact! Come on Sunday!!!

It's been a while since I last blogged. After all I was not sure that I would keep up with it although I do enjoy reading others blogs. Just sitting here trying to figure out what to do with myself on Mother's Day. I think that we are going to have T-Bone steaks, baked sweet potatoes and salad for dinner tonight, YUM! I stayed up way to late last night putting the final touches on the slideshow gifts I did for my Mom and MIL. I think they turned out pretty good. Fashion show, Miss Crook County and ballet recitals are finally over. It's hard to be part of these events and then still go to work. Thank goodness Jimmy at least was able to get all the time off for them since I did not. Took lots of pictures and even managed a photo shoot with Cheyenne on Miss Crook County night that turned out AWESOME!

Found out today that Sean is too old to get kisses from his little sister. While home sick from work I decided to take some pictures of the kids TOGETHER. Well it was okay while they were goofing around but once I mentioned I wanted some pictures of them being loving siblings.... well, I had to make Sean go back to the wall that I was using as a backdrop. Cheyenne thought it was great fun though to make her brother sqirm!
